Only at an ALHFAM Auction…
Some of the more unusual items to be had are at an ALHFAM Auction - live or silent. Yeah- textile chickens, cheese, preserves, maple syrup, books on obscure topics, beverages, textile items, an oak beer barrel (empty) and- wait for it- a jar of goose fat!
Special Events and Then Some
Folks are enjoying a lot of good sessions and workshops today. Topics include historic clothing, storytelling, stenciling, special events, collections deacessioning, educational programs and more. The brewers took a field trip to the Fat Ox establishment. They report good findings.
A Most Wonderful Salted, Smoked and Pickled Reception
The array of goodies at Friday evening's reception was truly impressive- and delicious. Several versions of pickled eggs, many ALHFAMer-made cheeses, interesting treats and historic edibles. Thanks, folks!
