Some of the more unusual items to be had are at an ALHFAM Auction - live or silent. Yeah- textile chickens, cheese, preserves, maple syrup, books on obscure topics, beverages, textile items, an oak beer barrel (empty) and- wait for it- a jar of goose fat!
Folks are enjoying a lot of good sessions and workshops today. Topics include historic clothing, storytelling, stenciling, special events, collections deacessioning, educational programs and more. The brewers took a field trip to the Fat Ox establishment. They report good findings.
We so much enjoyed the postings from the regional meeting in Arkansas that Derrick and I decided to pass the torch to the Mid-Atlantic Region for up to the moment coverage of that meeting.
