John T. Schlebecker was one of the founding members of ALHFAM. He worked as curator of the agricultural collections at the Smithsonian Institution and served as ALHFAM Secretary/Treasurer for many years. The first day of the ALHFAM annual conference began with breakfast in the wonderful 1920s Colonial Revival dining hall for the 4-H camp. Then tours by bus or workshops on site.
