Interpreting & Plowing & Bookbinding & More

Many great opportunities to learn new skills, meet new people, and see new places are available in the next few months thanks to ALHFAM regional and Professional Interest Group gatherings. Take advantage if you can:

The Mid-Atlantic region has put together a fabulous program for their meeting being held April 1-2 at Historic St. Mary’s City in Maryland. Workshops include sewing, cap-making, and hearth cooking. Click on the image below for more information.

2016 MA-ALHFAM_registration_Page_01The Southeast regional meeting is taking place March 11-13 at Jackson’s Mill Farmstead in Weston, Virgina. This is a joint meeting with the West Virginia Association of Museums and it will be a very worthwhile experience. Workshops include how to properly restore historic wooden windows, mule-team driving, phase box construction, grist milling, plowing, and blacksmithing.
