We look forward to welcoming you to Calgary next June… 249 days and counting! We’ve had a few queries from people working on their budgets and vacation schedules and wanted to pass along some details to help with your planning. Registration fees will be set after the ALHFAM Board meets in late October.
Conference schedule at a glance:
Saturday June 21 – Pre-Conference tours and Professional Development Workshops; Opening Reception
Sunday June 22 — Key note address, concurrent sessions, Presidential Banquet – Gasoline Alley Museum
Monday June 23 – Site visit to Heritage Park Historical Village
Tuesday June 24 – AGM, concurrent sessions, ALHFAM Auction
Wednesday June 25 – Site visit to Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump and Bar U Ranch, farewell dinner and entertainment at the Bar U.
A selection of post-conference itineraries will be provided for those interested in exploring the Rocky Mountains or other parts of Western Canada. The world renowned Calgary Stampede starts on July 4!
Accommodations:
The host hotel is the Carriage House Inn, which is conveniently located minutes from downtown Calgary. The room rate is $139 / night (double occupancy), and includes a hot breakfast buffet for 2. Travel:
Calgary International Airport is connected to the major hubs in North America. WestJet has come on board as our airline partner and will extend a 10% discount regular priced flights into and out of Calgary.
